The Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Office is proud to announce the winner of the 16th Annual 2026 Voter’s Guide Cover Design Contest: Jacoby Hurry, a talented student from Flagler Palm Coast High School. Each year, this contest showcases the creativity and civic awareness of local high school students while giving them the unique opportunity to contribute to an official county publication.
This year’s submissions were reviewed and voted on by members of the Flagler County School Board during their February workshop meeting, where Jacoby’s design stood out among the entries. Jacoby was formally recognized during the Student Spotlight portion of a recent School Board meeting held at the Government Services Building in Bunnell. The recognition highlighted not only his artistic achievement but also his contribution to promoting civic engagement in the community. The Voter’s Guide Cover Design Contest is an annual collaboration between the Elections Office and the local school district.
The initiative is designed to give students real-world design experience while encouraging meaningful classroom discussions about the electoral process, voting, and civic responsibility. Through this program, students gain a deeper understanding of their role in shaping the future of their community. The Voter’s Guide itself remains a valuable resource for residents, offering important election information in an accessible format. These guides are widely distributed at the Elections Office and are a staple at community events and voter outreach programs throughout the year.
The Elections Office extends its sincere appreciation to the digital design teachers at Matanzas High School and Flagler Palm Coast High School for incorporating this contest into their curriculum. Their efforts continue to provide students with hands-on learning experiences that connect creativity with civic education. Congratulations again to Jacoby Hurry for his outstanding work and contribution to this year’s Voter’s Guide.
