Voting at school is a unique civic learning experience which teachers and faculty can build upon in the classroom to help young people become educated, engaged citizens. Since 2011, schools in Flagler County have been using an online voting system developed by KidsVoting USA. The online ballot provides a financial savings to our county because it is offered at no cost to schools and elections offices throughout the United States.

Elementary and middle school students who participate in the Sunshine State Young Readers Award Program have the opportunity to vote with other students in their grade level in a statewide election for their favorite book. The Sunshine State Young Reader's Award Program is a statewide reading motivation program for students in grades 3 through 8. The program, which began in 1983, encourages students to read independently for personal satisfaction, based on interest rather than reading level.
Due to individual school schedules, these elections will be active from March 18 - April 12, 2019. Results will be posted here when they are available.
